The Brother MFC-J6540DW stands out as an absolutely office-ready A3 multifunctional that looks attractive at a price of around 300 euros. With a duplexer, the printer can print double-sided documents at high speed – even in A3 format. This is an essential advantage for multi-page printouts in daily use, as it can save a lot of time and money. Unfortunately, there is no single-sheet feeder with a duplex function. This is a limitation for multifunctional use, as you need help to make double-sided copies here easily.
For the price, however, this is an expected drawback. The rest of the equipment seems up-to-date and appropriate for smaller offices. The model is fully network-compatible – either wired or via WLAN. A USB port with a host function is also available. The paper capacity is too small for large offices. The advantage of the MFC-J6540DW is its very flexible format compatibility. It can print A4, A3 and numerous smaller special formats. The operation should be straightforward with the help of the colour touchscreen display.
