With the 32GQ850, LG presents another 32-inch screen from its UltraGear series, and thus a higher-priced gamer that sometimes also brings high-end features. For around £800, however, the demands on the screen are inevitably high. The LG uses an ultra-fast IPS panel that combines an e-sports-ready refresh rate of 240 Hz and substantial colour reproduction. Thus, the professional DCI-P3 colour space is covered by 98%, and various synchronisation technologies accompany the 240 Hz. In addition to AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, the monitor is also Nvidia G-Sync compatible. QHD is the resolution of choice, and the entire 240 Hz can also be displayed on QHD via DisplayPort and HDMI 2.1.

In addition, the screen comes with VRR. HDR content is no obstacle for the LG: thanks to a high luminosity of 450 candelas, which can even be briefly raised to 600 candelas in HDR mode, the HDR colour contrasts come across very well – this is enough for the VESA standard DisplayHDR 600. Of course, an ergonomic mechanism is also built-in, given the high price.
