Overview

Thanks to the popularity of all-in-one water coolers, consumers today have more to choose from than ever before. Because these coolers come ready-made, as a buyer, you have nothing to worry about outside of the installation. If you have set your sights on AIO water cooling, one of the first steps is to determine the size of the radiator. Many modern ATX enclosures can accommodate various sizes; in many cases, the maximum radiator length is 360mm. In this round-up, we look at 12 models to determine how they compare.

In 360mm-AIO water coolers, three 120mm fans are used side by side on the radiator. Because these fans can blow air out of the case through the radiator, you have the advantage that warm air leaves the case faster. And because the water block on top of the processor is usually much more compact than an air cooler, this cooling solution also looks a bit nicer. One disadvantage of water cooling is that it is usually more expensive than air cooling. This is due to another weakness: the system consists of more moving parts than an air cooler. So more parts can break down, and with manufacturers, we see varying.

Noise

When we run all the fans on each AIO water cooler at full speed in addition to the water pump, we encounter remarkable differences in noise production. At maximum speed, Alphacool’s fans produce quite a sound pressure level that is considerably higher than the other participants. At the other end of the graph, we find the Arctic Liquid Freezer II significantly quieter than the rest.
