Our Verdict

Slim and Qi2-compatible, the Anker MagGo Power Bank 10K Slim establishes itself as a versatile portable battery. It charges wirelessly at up to 15 W, exceeds 30 W over USB-C in places, can power two devices at once and supports far more than iPhones alone. Its usable capacity, below the 10,000 mAh advertised, and the 200 g that are added to the weight of a phone once it is attached to the back, do temper the picture. Even so, it remains an excellent travelling companion, effective and well thought out.

Qi2 and MagSafe compatibility

Fast charging

Slim, magnetic and Qi2-compatible, the Anker MagGo Power Bank 10K Slim promises fast charging without the burden of cables. Behind its compact format it relies on a comfortable capacity, genuine versatility and performance that proves more solid than expected.

Overview

Anker returns with a wireless power bank of a generous 10,000 mAh capacity. Its MagSafe compatibility means the manufacturer is addressing iPhone owners first, from the iPhone 12 series onwards, who want a portable solution that attaches directly to the back of the phone without unpacking a set of cables.

This compact model presents itself as a credible alternative in a family of products where the options are not exactly numerous. The brand states that an iPhone 15 Pro can recover 30% of its battery in 15 minutes of wireless charging. It goes up against the Mophie Powerstation 10K and the standard MagGo Power Bank in the same 10K capacity.

Design and handling

In format terms, the pack measures 104 x 70.6 x 14.7 mm. Anker presents it as its slimmest power bank to date, and that contained thickness is what stands out most in daily use. In a pocket or at the bottom of a bag it is easier to stow, although discretion has its limits, since the scales still show 200 g.

Once attached magnetically to a handset, that weight quickly makes itself felt. With an iPhone 17 Pro, the combination approaches 400 g, while with a Pixel 10 supporting Pixel Snap, Google's equivalent based on the Qi2 standard, the pair goes beyond that threshold. Nothing is unmanageable, and the magnetic attachment brings real convenience in use, but this is not an accessory that disappears instantly in the hand.

The matt coating is pleasant to the touch and limits fingerprints, which stops the battery turning into a print collection after three handlings. The metal frame reinforces the sense of quality with an understated and fairly upmarket finish. The whole thing stays visually discreet, with no showy effects and no unnecessary decorative details.

There is no screen to display a precise percentage; Anker has preferred four indicator lights to show the remaining charge level. A physical button on the side activates them when the state of the battery needs checking. For connections, there is a single USB-C port, used both to power a device over a cable and to recharge the pack itself.

Capacity and recharging

On paper, the quoted 10,000 mAh places this Anker in a very comfortable zone, particularly given its format. In practice, genuinely usable capacity reaches 7481 mAh, a more modest result than the commercial promise and a shortfall of roughly 25%, but still solid enough to rescue more than one device seriously. The pack works no magic and concedes a relatively high loss compared with the average of the comparison set, yet it retains enough to be genuinely useful.

In concrete use it can fully recharge a Nintendo Switch, provide more than two full charges to an iPhone 15 Pro, or return 0.73 of a charge to an iPad Pro 13 from 2024. To refill the pack itself, wired charging climbs to 30 W; in the best conditions that takes a little over two hours, which is quick and reassuring before setting off a long way from a socket.

Output and versatility

The MagGo Power Bank 10K Slim is not limited to MagSafe charging: it can power two devices at the same time, which makes it more versatile than it first appears. Over a cable, its USB-C port supports Power Delivery and officially climbs to 30 W. Wirelessly, the Qi2 standard allows 15 W, provided of course that a compatible device is used.

Even though Anker is very clearly addressing iPhone owners, the battery does not close the door on other devices. An Android phone, a tablet, earphones or anything else that accepts USB-C charging can make use of it. That is one of its strong points: behind a very Apple-oriented pitch, it remains perfectly sociable with the rest of the world, which is always welcome in a bag already full of cables.

The recorded measurements on the USB-C port show genuine output. They returned 14.72 W at 5 V, then 25.94 W at 9 V. The pack then climbs to 32.83 W at 12 V and 34.47 W at 15 V, and even reaches 34.95 W at 20 V. In other words, it exceeds the 30 W it advertises in certain conditions, which gives a comfortable margin for recharging different devices efficiently rather than watching a gauge crawl forward.

Where it stands

Against the Mophie Powerstation 10K, which lasts longer but is wired only, the MagGo 10K Slim prioritises convenience with its magnetic attachment and 15 W Qi2 charging. Compared with the standard MagGo Power Bank, it gives up the integrated cable, the screen and the Apple Watch support, but gains in slimness, restraint and comfort on the move.
