The Meaco Fan 1056 emerged as the test winner in the current Stiftung Warentest fan comparison test. For the test persons, the Meaco table fan is the model with the most pleasant breeze, and the low noise level is also impressive. According to the manufacturer, the model was even awarded a prize for its low noise level of 20 decibels.
The range of functions is also impressive. Meaco has equipped its test winner with remote control, a programmable automatic switch-off and a night light that can be switched on and off. The oscillation function is also somewhat unusual, as the fan head can swivel horizontally, vertically or a combination of both, according to the testers. In addition, the model’s Eco mode allows the wind power to adjust automatically to the room temperature. The device is generally very energy-efficient, with only 9 watts of power consumption. However, the testers of Stiftung Warentest point out power consumption of 0.8 watts in standby mode and recommend pulling the mains plug when the table fan is not in use.
According to the manufacturer, the Meaco Fan 1056 is suitable for rooms up to 50 square metres and is therefore very powerful for a table fan. Meaco also calls the model a circulator because its design generates several streams and thus not only sets the air in motion but circulates it. Like the ones Vornado makes, Circulators are also extremely helpful for ventilation. However, compared to other table fans, the fan is quite expensive.
