Our Verdict
The Eureka FloorShine 460 brings 17,000 Pa suction, hot air drying, and a 180° flat mode for cleaning under furniture — all for around €199. The Anti-Tangle Pro system handles pet hair and the auto-cleaning function keeps the roller fresh, despite a modest 25-minute battery life and no companion app.

Test of the Eureka FloorShine 460: A Wet/Dry Vacuum at 200 Euros
Editorial Verdict on the Eureka FloorShine 460
The idea here is to replace a mop and a bucket of warm water. The promise of the wet/dry vacuum is to settle the fate of dust and coffee stains in a single pass. But usually, to have something that holds the road, you have to spend a few hundred euros. Eureka arrives with its FloorShine 460 and it is at 200 euros.
Technical Specifications
The Eureka FloorShine 460 is a budget cordless wet/dry vacuum cleaner targeting users who want premium features at half the typical price.
Installation, Design and Ergonomics
The look? A total matt black with a few touches of purple. It is sober.
Lightweight Build
What you appreciate very quickly is its lightness. With its 4.1 kg, it can be handled with one hand. If you have stairs, you will bless Eureka.
Build Quality
The assembly is serious, mixing robust plastics and an aluminium handle. You do not feel suspicious creaking, which is reassuring for a product at this price. You feel that the brand has put the money where it counts: in the structure.
180° Flat Mode
The interesting function at this price is its ability to become completely flat at 180°. Where the majority of competitors stop at 120°, the FloorShine 460 stretches out on its 8.8 cm thickness. And what is it for? To pass under the bed, under the furniture, under the tables...
To prevent scratching the bodywork when it is lying down, Eureka has even added a small wheel at the back.
Display
But forget the OLED screen that gives you the weather. Here, we have basic LEDs on the body of the machine to indicate the chosen mode. It is spartan, but it does the job. The compromises seem to be here.
Charging Method
Charging is a little old-school. Unlike premium models that recharge as soon as you put them on the dock, here you have to manually plug the cable to the back of the device. It is a little annoying at first, but you get used to it quickly.
Tank Design
The 650 ml tanks are well designed. The clean water tank is just above the brush, which helps to press the device on the floor for better scrubbing. The general balance is excellent, the machine pulls you slightly forward, which makes cleaning almost relaxing.
Noise Level
Last point on the noise: it is surprisingly discreet.
Performance
On the motor side, you have a 200 W block. The 17,000 Pa seems to be well present: on tile or parquet, it lets nothing pass. Crumbs, fine dust, and even dog kibble are swallowed without discussion at first pass.
Washing System
The washing system uses 22 jets (small injectors) to wet the roller uniformly. The brush rotates at about 450-500 revolutions per minute. In short, it scrubs hard. On dried coffee stains, it took me three passes to find a spotless floor. It is correct.
Dry Mode
The Dry mode is a blessing. If you spill a bottle of water or a bowl of soup, it sucks the liquid without spitting it everywhere. This is where you see the difference with a simple stick vacuum.
Anti-Tangle Pro System
For pet owners, the Anti-Tangle Pro system works well. It is an integrated metal comb that prevents hair from wrapping around the roller. This avoids ending the cleaning session with scissors to debone the brush.
Flat Mode Aspiration
An important technical detail: when you use it flat (at 180°), the machine slightly reduces aspiration to prevent dirty water from rising into the motor. However, check the level of the dirty water tank well before lying it down, otherwise it is leakage assured.
Battery Life
The real battery life is around 25 minutes. This is undoubtedly another compromise, and it depends of course on the surface you have to clean. If you have 100 m², it is sufficient.
Application
There is no application, and frankly, it is for the better. We are not going to start connecting our wet/dry vacuum to Wi-Fi to receive notifications "your tank is full". The device is sufficient on its own with its physical buttons and voice indications (in English only, pity).
Maintenance
Once the cleaning is finished, you put the beast on its base and start the auto-cleaning. The machine spins its brush at high speed with clean water to remove the dirt. It is effective and avoids getting your hands dirty.
Hot Air Drying
The real plus at this price is hot air drying. The base blows warm air on the roller to prevent it from smelling like wet dog after three days. It is not the fastest drying in the world, but it works.
Tank Maintenance
The dirty water tank is easy to unclip. Inside, a small filter retains large debris so as not to clog your pipes. It is simple, rustic, and rinses under the tap in 30 seconds flat.
You also need to periodically check and clean the removable parts, especially if you pick up a lot of hair, fine dust, or grease.
Roller Quality
The roller is of good quality. After several intensive tests, it has not budged.
Detergent Dispensing
Small criticism on the detergent dispenser: there is no dedicated one. You have to mix the product directly in the clean water tank. It is not a drama, but you have to have the dosage by eye.
Roller Access
Finally, access to the roller for manual cleaning is ultra simple. One click, you remove the cover, you take out the brush.
Price
Officially displayed at €239, it is very often found around €199, even €159 on promotion. At this price, it comes to hunt on the territory of simple stick vacuums while offering washing. It is an aggressive positioning.
