Pros
- Wide range of functions
- High sound quality
- Virtual surround sound
Cons
- Few connections
The equipment of the Bose Smart Soundbar 600 is remarkable. With three front-firing and two upward-firing speakers, it can provide some surround sound on the TV. However, this is different from a speaker system that is actually set up all around. For its size, however, the performance is still impressive. Even the bass is well audible. In addition, a subwoofer output is built in. In addition to the connection to the TV via optical cable or HDMI, there is Bluetooth for direct control and WLAN to use internet radio and streaming services via an app. Voice control and the integration of additional speakers are also possible via this connection. Unfortunately, there is no second HDMI connection or analogue inputs.
Nevertheless, for a price over £400, a lot is offered – many functions and a lot of sound quality. Only the selection of additional speakers for expansion is limited. Sonos, which has a very similar product in its portfolio with the Beam soundbar, can do this better.
